3. Current Employee, more than 3 years

   Pros

   The end of the solar day for many jobs means making last minutes calls, finishing reports, shutting down your calculator and going home. At Sylvan the finish of the day means knowing we take changed lives for children and their families. I have witnessed first hand the modify in students from when they first came to Sylvan and the departure even one day makes. There is cypher more than satisfying than to see the progress of the students as they succeed in their academic programs thus elevating their self esteem at the same time. At the cease of the twenty-four hours it is the gratification I get in knowing that our students are exactly where they should be academically while feeling so much better about themselves.

   Cons

   An platonic state of affairs would be to be able to help every student that needs help regardless of their financial situation.

4. Current Employee, more than than 10 years

   Pros

   Sylvan has provided me the opportunity of really growing professionally and continuing to exercise what I love, which is helping students. I will be celebrating my 15-year anniversary with the visitor March of 2013 and I have truly enjoyed almost every single infinitesimal of information technology!

   Cons

   I wish we could aid every single pupil. Sylvan tin can help all students achieve their maximum potential but sometimes there are other factors that get in the way-financial, schedule, location, etc...

5. Quondam Employee, more than 5 years

   Pros

   For young professionals who are looking to become experience in different facets of education, para-education, assistants/ management, customer-facing services, engineering implementation, etc. this is definitely a visitor that will put all those responsibilities on your plate and force you to either sink or pull yourself upwards and go the task done.

   Cons

   No room for advocacy in your position. Top-down management (corporate and regional) practice not back up center level management staff's positive work/personal life balance, wellness & wellness, professional person ambitions, etc. No emphasis on creating a healthy piece of work culture offset past demands of meeting unrealistic metrics. Directors oftentimes work up to lx hour weeks with no paid overtime and no support staff. There is high turn over in the Due south Florida area and has been since about 2010-2011.

7. One-time Employee, more than i yr

   Pros

   I had the opportunity to work with some wonderful teachers, parents, and children.

   Cons

   The company literally drains the life out of their employees. I take never worked with a more stressed out group of people. There was no such thing every bit a 3 day weekend. Employees are lucky to accept Christmas and Thanksgiving off. It'south all about sales with a minor in education.
